North Coyote Buttes is home to one of the most famous rock formations in the world-The Wave. I've been to The Wave in the fall, but not the winter. Permits are required from the BLM and only a limited number of permits are given out each day in order to preserve the fragile nature of the sandstone formations. I was not disappointed. The snow and ice added to its beauty and we actually had some pretty good sunshine. Enjoy!
