Distance: 59.0 miles • Elevation Change: Wickenburg 2056 ft.-Prescott 5400 ft. To continue on historic US Route 89 from Wickenburg, drive northwest on US Route 93 (North Tegner Street). Six miles from Wickenburg at the intersection of highway 93 and Arizona Route 89, turn right. Arizona 89 takes you to the old mining towns of Congress and Stanton at the base of the Weaver Mountains. Here you enter the mountainous transition zone between the Basin & Range and Colorado Plateau.
